One of these verticals is Meter Data Management (MDM) which plays a crucial role in the energy industry. It involves gathering, organizing and analysing meter data from utility meters. The purpose of MDM is to guarantee precise and timely billing, as well as to assist with advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) projects, demand response programs and other energy management efforts.

Because this growing Belgian product vendor enhances its international expansion, they look for a business development manager to join an innovative team of 8 employees in the United Kingdom. They have more than 45 years of experience in the energy & utilities market and can count on more than 300 employees in Belgian and abroad.

About the role

  • You actively approach utility companies (gas, electricity, water), large system integrators whith offerings including SW in the UK;
  • You work closely with a British presales for BIDS, to qualify leads, shape sales strategies and grow client relationships.
  • You manage your accounts, identify new opportunities and drive long-term success.
  • You gather different stakeholders around the table at the right time;
  • You can count on more than 50 references in a niche marked to persuade prospects to go for a long term investment; 
  • You communicate and negotiate with key decision-makers, including C-suite executives, IT leaders, and business managers.

About you

  • You have expertise as a sales in ICT (software), afinity with utilities & energy is a plus;
  • You are eager to build and manage a portfolio of utility & energy companies;
  • You are goal oriented and have an hands-on approach;
  • You show self-discipline and like to work work remote.
